Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Our Picstory LLC ("Our Picstory," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to ourpicstory.com and the Our Picstory service.

Information we collect

• Photos and content you upload: the photos, captions, story text, and voice recordings you add to a journal.
• Account and contact info: your email address, and if you place an order, your name, shipping address, and phone number.
• Order and payment info: what you ordered and when. Payments are handled by Stripe; we receive confirmation and limited details (like the last digits and card brand) but never your full card number.
• Newsletter signups: if you ask to hear from us, we keep your email address.
• Technical info: basic device, browser, and usage information, and cookies or similar storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your work in progress.

How we use it

We use your information to operate the Service, create and deliver your printed journal, generate your online reveal, process payments, provide support, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and (only if you opt in) send you occasional email about new editions.

Your voice recordings are transcribed to text to help generate captions; the resulting captions become part of your journal. We don't use Your Content to advertise to other people.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers we need to run Our Picstory, and only for that purpose:

• Stripe, to process payments.
• Our print and fulfillment partner (Lulu), to print and ship your journal; they receive your name, shipping address, and the files for your book.
• Our hosting and infrastructure providers (including Supabase and Lovable), to store data and run the app.
• Our email provider (Mailgun), to send order and account emails.
• An AI processing provider, to help transcribe voice notes and generate captions from your photos and story.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and users. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep your content and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal and record-keeping requirements. You can ask us to delete your account and content at any time (see below); some information may remain in routine backups for a limited time.

Your choices and rights

You can access or update your information, ask us to delete your account and content, and unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in those emails or by contacting us. To make a request, email hello@ourpicstory.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local privacy laws, and we'll honor those that apply to you.

Children

Our Picstory is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your photos and data seriously.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll change the effective date above when we do.
